A Silly Billy was a clown at 19th century English fairs. Actually, it is inaccurate to relate this name to a goat as goats are usually curious and intelligent.
There are over 300 breeds of goat and the first evidence of their existence dates back about 10 000 years to parts of Iran. Goats have been used for their milk, meat, hair and skins. They are often kept as pets.
